The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a man is facing charges after he wrecked a car while under the influence and then left the scene. It happened on Auger Spring Road. A caller told deputies a man wrecked in a yard and was kicking the car and cursing. However, when officers arrived the man was gone. Deputies later tracked down 42-year-old Douglas Wilson. They determined he was under the influence at the time of the accident. Deputies say they also found Wilson’s wife who was in the car at the time of the accident. They say she had visible injuries but refused treatment. Wilson was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center where he faces several charges.
