A Clay County man is behind bars after he was accused of setting someone’s house on fire. Police say Clyde Frost, of Manchester, broke into a home and stole clothes, knives, a purse, a TV and other personal items. Before leaving, police say Frost then burned the house. The home was destroyed. Police arrested Frost and took him to the Clay County Detention Center where he has to spend his 52nd birthday behind bars. Frost faces charges of theft by unlawful taking, second-degree arson and first-degree criminal mischief. Frost says he was in another part of the county looking for his girlfriend’s dog the day the fire happened.
